INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN 'TANZANIA YA VIWANDA': A WEEKLY PROGRAM ON TV/WEB

SUBJECT:    TANZANIA YA VIWANDA: A WEEKLY PROGRAM ON TV/WEB

Dear Members,

We wish to inform our esteemed members that in an effort to improve services to its members and facilitate the enhancement of the businesses of its members, the Confederation has entered in to an agreement with a private company, Performance Ltd , to stage a weekly TV/Web series that will be known as “Tanzania ya Viwanda”.

‘Tanzania ya Viwanda’ will present a platform to showcase the parallel goals of economic prosperity and community welfare. This weekly TV/Web series will introduce business houses, commercial firms, large manufacturing enterprises, legacy companies and entrepreneurial initiatives in an endeavour to shed light on each company’s unique road map towards prosperity and exhibiting its holistic impact on the nation and its people.

The show will comprise 36 episodes, within 3 seasons, wherein each season will include 12 episodes. During the shows, each company would be highlighted as an individual success story. In initiating this extra-ordinary vision, the producers of the program will be making empowering presentations to individual companies in Tanzania. Each company will be able to engage in a discussion with the producers, at a convenient time set aside in advance. To this end, members may avail of this opportunity by inviting the production team to their office premises to view the presentation and be part of this epoch-making television/web series.

The main objectives ofthe show “Tanzania ya Viwanda” is:

1.    To inform, educate, and enlighten the general public and investors of the

     opportunities in the industrial sector in Tanzania.

2.    To introduce the viewers to Tanzania’s best business enterprises that are, either

     legacy companies or fresh start ups.

3.   To give an insight into how the products and services which they use daily, are

     produced, distributed, sold and serviced in the country.

4.    To provide an opportunity to the existing industries to showcase their enterprise, that

     will in turn, bring their vendors and customers closer.

5.    To get a better understanding of the industrial sector vis-à-vis the challenges /

     rewards on their day to day operations.

Performance Ltd, is a competent video, film and photography production facility in Tanzania. It is a limited liability company incorporated in Tanzania with Registration No. 36521 and having its offices at 4th Floor, 41 Swiss Tower, UN Road, Upanga, Dar es Salaam. The Company was incorporated on 17th June 1999 in Dar es Salaam with an objective to produce high quality TV Commercials, TV shows, documentaries, corporate and training videos plus commercial photography. Under the able leadership of its directors, the company has produced over 200 commercials, 50 documentaries and several corporate videos for local and international clients such as Coca Cola, Toyota and local clients like Angaza, Vodacom, NBC Bank, Tigo, Airtel, Serengeti Beer, African Barrick Tanzania, just to mention a few.  For more information please visit the following links:

The format of the show will be a 30 minute episode with 2x2 minutes advertising break. It will feature an anchor /host who will introduce the viewers to the production, distribution, sales and service segments of the industry as well as any CSR activities the company is undertaking. The program will incorporate interviews with the CEOs, Owners and Board Members among others. Lastly, it will seek trade partners, vendors and consumers for feedback of the products and services of the enterprise.

CTI believes thatthis significant show is an opportunity not to be missed!Itwill act as a catalyst in taking the business landscape to a new level.  The Performance Ltd will be ready to visit interested individual members to make presentations and discuss in detail about the program and the fee to be paid. This is a voluntary program but a very useful one to both CTI as an organisation and its members as business operators. We therefore request and urge members to participate in the program. The first 20 confirmations will get a negotiated special package.
